My Work
My favorite assignment was getting to capture fan reactions at a bar in Little Tokyo to the Dodgers winning the 2024 World Series. I had just learned what a walk-off was that day, and suddenly I became an expert. I wasn't so much interested in the game as I was in the fans and their relationship with the Dodgers. And my stories have always been about that — putting people first. My work is very much rooted in the community and how Angelenos feel about everything around them, whether it's the Dodgers, rebuilding after a fire, the government, or a beloved park. My goal as a journalist is to make people less afraid of what they don't know.
